Edgar Allan Poe is a world famous author who writes suspenseful/thriller story that keeps everyone interested. Three of his stories that we have read is â€Å"The Black Cat,† â€Å"The Tell-Tale Heart,† â€Å"The Cask of Amontillado†. The five questions that will be discussed is how/why does Poe have his narrator plan the murder of his victim, what is the narrators reason for killing his victim, how does the narrator dispose of the body, does the narrator know the difference between right and wrong, and finally does the story end the way you expected? The first two questions that will be discussed is how/why does Poe have his narrator plan the murder of his victim and his reasoning behind kill his victim. In â€Å"The Black Cat† the narrator plans to kill his cat because the cat becomes as the cat’s love for the narrator grows, the narrator’s hatred toward the cat grows also. Then after killing that cat he gets a second one and he also fe els the need to kill that cat too, but he does not plan this, it just a spur of the moment thing, because when he tries to kill him he kills his wife instead, and not the cat. In â€Å"The Tell-Tale Heart† the narrator plans the murder of the old man that lives in his house because the man has an eye that the narrator feels is always watching him, and he refers to it as a â€Å"vulture eye†. Over the course of eight nights the narrator plans the death of the man by watching him sleep and on the eighth night he finally decides to kill him.
